80 things about me
In homage to matt, and because I can't think of anything else to do, here are 80 fascinating things that you never knew about me. Prepare to be dazzled (particularly by the lack of any notable order).

1) My full name is Danny Beusch.
2) I have no middle name, although when I was younger I wished that it was Ben.
3) I was born on 20th July 1982.
4) I go to Warwick University.
5) In the holidays, I live in Peterborough.
6) I am studying for an MA in Social Research.
7) I have a sister called Sian.
8) We are very close, but I don't visit her anywhere near enough.
9) I've always worked quite hard, which, by definition, probably makes me a geek.
10) I was the only person in my whole primary school to play a musical instrument.
11) I cried for an hour before my grade three piano exam when I was 12.
12) I passed with a merit but never took another music exam again, even though I still went to lessons until I was 18.
13) Only one other person from my primary school went to my secondary school.
14) I can't decide if I enjoyed school or not.
15) I had a shit time in years 10 and 11, but 6th form was ok(ish).
16) I got 5A*s and 5As in my GCSEs. I cried when I got my results.
17) My worst subject was Food Technology. I simply cannot cook!
18) I did A-levels in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and General Studies and got 4As.
19) I thought that General Studies was by far the hardest A-level I took.
20) From the age of 11 I had always wanted to be a G.P.
21) When I was 17 I realised that I didn't like blood and decided to do Sociology because it looked interesting.
22) This choice was not at all driven by any form of minor obsession that I may have had with an Anarchist band from Leeds at roughly the same time....honest.
23) Chumbawamba are fantastic, despite what anyone says, and I own all their albums.
24) Yes, Chumbawamba do have more than 1 song.
25) I have never regretted taking Sociology, EVER!
26) I don't think that I'm especially good at my course, but I work hard.
27) My essays in the first year were shit. I was almost illiterate after two years of solely studying Science subjects.
28) I am better at Maths than writing essays. I got 97% in my Maths A-Level, but it bored me.
29) I have funding to do a PHD next year. It is on gay nazis.
30) Everyone laughs at me when I tell them this.
31) I am not a nazi, but I am a gay.
32) I knew that I fancied men when I was 11.
33) I first kissed someone when I was 18. His name was Ross and I went out with him for 6 weeks before I came to Uni.
34) The longest I have gone out with someone for is 13 months. He is probably my only ex who I have stayed friends with.
35) I went out with a girl once. It lasted a week and we held hands once.
36) I met her when I worked in a bakery. My mate Damon worked there too. I have snogged him, although he isn't a bummer.
37) Damon used to go out with my bestest friend, Ruth.
38) She's in China for a year with her boyfriend. I miss her so much it's unbelievable.
39) Ruth's favourite drunken food is Chicken Tikka Bun.
40) Mine is chips, cheese and Naan bread, with mayo.
41) I drink far too much, and I know this.
42) I didn't start drinking until I was 16.
43) The longest I have ever been without drinking for is two weeks. This was when I was anti-biotics.
44) I am allergic to anti-biotics. This prolonged my abstinence from booze whilst I was on anti-histamenes for another week.
45) I hate beer, and all alcopops.
46) I can be persuaded to drink alcopops if they are cheap.
47) Unlike a lot of people, I like cider. It get's me very very drunk. I also like wine and vodka.
48) I think I am probably annoying when I am drunk.
49) I think I am probably annoying when I am sober.
50) I have never pulled anyone whilst I have been sober. EVER.
51) No one ever goes to 'get off' with me. I get impatient when i'm drunk and pounce on people.
52) I am too shy to approach anyone who I fancy.
53) I am very bad at talking to new people.
54) I am very bad at keeping in contact with those who I know.
55) I am not good friends with many gays. Most of my friends are female.
56) I know that I am camp.
57) I wish that I was less camp, but it just doesn't seem to happen.
58) I spend lots of money on clothes.
59) I still don't seem to own many clothes that I like.
60) My tastes change very quickly.
61) I don't like my arms, they are too skinny.
62) I am too lazy to do anything about this, despite the fact that I have weights under my bed.
63) I get quite paranoid about my appearance when I go clubbing.
64) I hate 'dance' music, and I despise club remixes of good pop songs.
65) I like several H and Claire songs, which surely invalidates any opinion I have of what makes a 'good pop song'.
66) My favourite Spice Girl is Sporty Spice.
67) I own both of her albums and was genuinely upset when she got dropped.
68) I will go and see her live at some point, even if no one will come with me.
69) The last gig I went to was Skin. She was absolutley fucking amazing.
70) My Dad also likes Skin, his favourite song is 'Lost Without You'.
71) I have a good relationship with my Dad. I wouldn't say we were amazingly close, but we do get on well.
72) My mum died when I was 10. She had breast cancer.
73) That was the 3rd time that she had had it.
74) I came home once with some friends, and she had broken her arm lifting a pint of milk. The cancer had made her bones so weak.
75) I never knew that my mum had cancer until my dad picked me up from school one day to tell me that she had died.
76) I never used to be able to talk about this, but I find it ok now.
77)Life at the moment is pretty good.
78)I like my university, especially in summer when everyone sits outside.
79) I am very very excited about next year. I am looking forward to doing my own work, and my own research.
80) The course this year, however, is boring. This is probably why I decided to do a journal.
